Who is the course for?
Pudding and Pie 12-week practical home cooking course is for any young person who wants to achieve a skill that counts towards their Duke of Edinburgh Award. We’ll provide you with everything you’ll need to cook delicious and nutritious food from scratch whilst gaining an essential life skill – all from the comfort of your own home kitchen!
Your son or daughter can enjoy doing the course and learning new skills to make a meal. Its great value for money and the recipes are very varied in choice.Quite often young people of this age are super busy with after school activities and haven’t the space in their busy lives to get to commit to another after school club. They’re also great for students heading off to university.
How do the DofE courses work?
Once we have received your payment we’ll email you a link to:
– 12 easy-to-prepare recipes to include a variety of cooking techniques to help you prepare your food from scratch
– Equipment lists for each recipe
– Helpful hints & tips
– Skills checklist
– Feedback form
Support is important and we can help your son or daughter every step of the way. All they need to do is e-mail is for any questions or advice and we will get straight back to you. On completion, the supporting documentation will need to be emailed to us for verification and we’ll issue a certificate and complete the final assessors report for each student.
When does the course start?
This is a 3 month course which begins on your chosen date. Your son or daughter will cook one recipe each week. At the end of the 12 week period they complete our feedback form for each recipe together with photographic evidence of everything they cook.
Where will I find the recipes?
As soon as you’ve paid we’ll send you a link to your easy-to-make recipes together with a copy of our skills checklist and feedback form.
